As a Sr. Product Manager within our dynamic Consumer Electronics business you will work across multiple teams to define roadmaps, position new and exciting services and new product features for our customers. This is a high visibility position and will be working across many different teams to deliver the needed results. This role calls for an individual who can demonstrate sound product management skills (analytical, business judgment, communication, product discipline) in addition to being technically smart, to gain credibility with customers and stakeholders--most of whom are technical professionals. You will be responsible for improving the customer experience on the most visited product pages in global ecommerce, driving large scale detail page initiatives with a direct and visible impact on Amazon's bottom line and have some fun alone the way! You will work closely with the business and category managers, software development and site design to create and deliver the product roadmap. Candidates must have excellent judgment and prioritization skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency coupled with a passion for business, technology and delivering a world class customer experience.
Job Qualifications:
- A strong background (5+ years) in product management, financial analysis and/or marketing is preferred; e-commerce experience is a plus. Ability to think both strategically and tactically
- Proven analytical skills and highly numerate (includes ability to use tools such as Excel and Access); knowledge of SQL is a strong plus
- Curiosity to dig several layers deep into metrics, have an innate desire to understand key drivers and whether they are the correct or best metrics to measure/manage a business or process
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
- Have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Ability to have difficult conversations in a way that leaves everyone still working well together
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communicate (both written and verbal) skills
- Innovative and self-directed
- MBA is required
