Product Manager / Program Manager
The Product Manager will be responsible for the multiple aspects of the product lifecycle including helping develop product strategy , messaging, roadmap, and ensuring that product requirements are accurately translated into fully functional end user products:
Responsibilities include:
- Contributes to strategy development and execution for company products including short and long-term technology decisions
- Owns Roadmap - Planning and Execution
- Defines GTM scenarios
- Translates customer and market requirements into product features
- Is the product expert for others inside & outside of the company
- Prioritizes product initiatives based on how well they meet business objectives including time-to-market
- Writes clear market and product/functional requirements for all product initiatives
- Works with product development to design and launch products that meet requirements, drive profits & delight customers
- Performs competitive analysis
- Creates marketing materials in line with company messaging
- Determines pricing models
- In the product owner role, within an agile development process, responsibilities
include creating sprint stories, prioritizing stories, managing the sprint and product backlog
- Responsible for answering questions and providing clarifications to the engineering team through the scrum process
- Responsible for helping to define scalable user interface definitions through wire frames, write ups or prototypes that explain
expected behavior of functionality
- Responsible for constantly validating product functionality and behaviors of completed features in a sprint to provide immediate
feedback. The validation includes self validation or through interaction with a customer user group
- Works closely with development leads to validate design translation
- Manages supported ISV partner programs
- Manages beta programs
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Must have a strong background in enterprise or infrastructure software product management and product marketing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting to large, diverse audiences
- Strong relationship skills, including the ability to work with both partners and customers on both technical and business issues
- Self-directed; requires minimal supervision on work products and be able to effectively lead cross functional product strategy,
prioritization and planning activities
- Ability to think strategically and define strategic plans that benefit Bocada and the ability to drive execution of the tactics that
ensure the strategic plans are achieved
- Experience with the Agile process, preferably in the role of product owner
- Ability to articulate product requirements to development and work to validate results are in line with customer requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to foster/maintain relationships internally and externally;
strong credibility and follow through
- Self-starting, self-managing, execution-oriented leadership; ability to manage a broad set of responsibilities with minimal support
