Director of Product Management – Cardiovascular Clinical Information Systems
LUMEDX currently has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Product Management to join our Bellevue, WA team! This opportunity leads and manages a team of Product Managers while managing a spectrum of clinical IT products and services from requirements definition to release to market. In addition to developing and implementing strategies for maximizing market share, revenue and profit for specific clinical IT market segments, this position will assist LUMEDX to grow information system and product line offerings beyond the current CVIS and PACS market. Goals will include defining and developing new and innovative tools for physicians, hospitals and providers, focusing on outcomes/data analytics to address clinical and financial optimization and integration with reporting solutions, such as cost of care and cross-clinical service areas. Other goals include providing senior level leadership, mentoring and expertise to members of the Product Management team as well as cross-departmentally. Our ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the clinical and business needs of a hospital and ideally a cardiology department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other responsibilities may be assigned.
· Drives product strategy, vision and external market input for core product capabilities and functionality for a CVIS & PACS suite of imaging and cardiovascular information management products.
· Manages a team of Product Managers through all product life cycles from concept, business case, requirements definition, customer design win, product launch and mature product management.
· Directs the spectrum of Product Management methodology and best practice, including product line strategy, defining target market requirements and priorities, pricing and business forecasts, supporting sales in design-win activities, launching new products, competitive analysis, and developing and managing a partner ecosystem in support of products.
· Develops, launches, and leads a novel management vertical past core cardiovascular product offerings, centered around next generation clinical analytics management systems and solutions under a SaaS model.
· Acts as subject matter expert to develop, build and launch solutions and tools to existing challenges and deficiencies in current hospital and healthcare environments, within a hybrid Product Management and Business Development capacity.
· Defines market requirements and directs the Product Development organization in building products that meet market requirements, researching and prioritizing features to ensure product success.
· Defines and manages the scope and timeline for new product releases.
· Develops business and product plans and contributes to the development of product positioning in the marketplace.
· Researches and monitors competitor’s product activity.
· Manages technology and market demand research including conducting customer surveys concerning product enhancements.
· Manages customer focus groups to determine product form, function and usability.
· Determines Beta sites and manages the Beta process and feedback loop.
· Serves as product champion giving presentations and to various audiences.
· Coordinates with the Sales organization to address market opportunities for the product.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for the overall direction of the software testing and release team.
· Selects, trains, motivates and develops departmental personnel.
· Identifies opportunities for training and professional development of staff.
· Conducts performance appraisals in accordance with corporate guidelines.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Management experience and knowledge of business needs at a department level or higher for a hospital or medical center, especially within cardiology.
· Solid knowledge of hospital environments.
· Successful experience leading, motivating and providing technical expertise to team members.
· Successful experience in software or technical product marketing, or product management environments.
· Strong working knowledge of the processes and procedures used within the software development lifecycle environment.
· Strong knowledge of product marketing concepts and techniques, company and competitor products and services, and related technologies.
· Successful experience managing product life cycles from inception to market launch, while remaining within budget and within the timeline for project completion.
· Successful experience managing transactional enterprise product lines.
· Demonstrated ability developing product specifications and user interface designs.
· Successful experiences conducting qualitative and quantitative market research.
· Previous experience creating detailed product plans, outlining key features and product functionality.
· Working knowledge of clinical business intelligence in a healthcare service line capacity, especially relating to outcomes analytics.
· Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative market research techniques.
· Working knowledge of healthcare product marketing concepts and techniques, industry and competitor products and services, and related healthcare information system technologies.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
· Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex Market Requirements, Functional Specification and Software Design documents.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical people.
· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information.
· Demonstrated ability to compose clear and concise technical written communication.
ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE/HARDWARE SKILLS:
· Demonstrated ability to utilize Internet resources.
· Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a Windows environment (XP to Windows 2008 Server), Microsoft office suite (XP to 2008), and other Microsoft applications.
