Location: Seattle, WA Senior Product Manager, Developer Platform.
Overview:
The Product Manager will be drive core MySpace product sets and critical components. Tasks will include gathering and prioritization of product requirements from customers, executives, competitors, and engineering. The Senior PM will work with executives and product managers to set the strategic vision for entire product line and will ensure the product line strategy and vision aligns with the greater strategy of the company. Senior PM will work closely with engineering, to deliver world class products and will work with cross functional teams to ensure success metrics and customer satisfaction goals are met post launch.
Responsibilities:
• Manage Product and Development on site build projects and ongoing product initiatives. • Drive product management strategy in the creation and execution of individual product roadmaps. • Prioritize product roadmaps and subsequent feature requests. • Be an effective internal ‘champion’ and subject matter expert on products and competition. • Perform due diligence and necessary analysis to vet new product ideas. • Work cross-functionally to gather intelligence on competitive offerings. • Gather and document product requirements and work closely with engineering to design solutions and manage the development process. • Build, own and maintain product roadmaps and product backlogs.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of Product Management experience. • Extensive expertise in social media technology with demonstrated success defining and launching web products. • Experience driving and implementing product strategy within a community-based / web business. • Prior success developing new products in a start-up environment or entrepreneurial role. • Proven ability to develop products across organizational and business units. • Flexible and adaptive in order to succeed in an environment where market assumptions and competitors are constantly changing. • Versatile manager with both strategic and tactical capabilities and an entrepreneurial ethic. • Capable of getting things done through both formal means and by leveraging interpersonal skills to build relationships across the organization. • A creative problem-solver with a high level of intellectual energy. • A left-brain/right-brain problem-solving approach. • Strong project management and organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. • Computer Science degree preferred. • MBA preferred.
