The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the outbound marketing of one or more Vertafore product lines including packaging and positioning of appropriate solutions for the marketplace and establishment of effective plans and vehicles to ensure their success through the sales process.
Position Charter & Experience The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the outbound marketing of one or more Vertafore product lines including packaging and positioning of appropriate solutions for the marketplace and establishment of effective plans and vehicles to ensure their success through the sales process. Key Accountabilities Product Marketing Manager position responsibilities include:
- Create solutions and messaging that effectively position products to maintain or gain leadership positions in the marketplace.
- Work with product management, marketing, and sales to articulate and produce materials that present product position and vision.
- Manage division-wide marketing efforts for product introductions.
- Analyze market segments to package, position and market products for specific segments.
- Create effective sales tools, including product presentations/scripts, data sheets, white papers, competitive briefs, and FAQs, to increase market penetration, working with the sales and marketing teams.
- Develop and present sales training for field and inside sales forces.
- Represent the business division and evangelize products at seminars, industry panels, tradeshows and events, customer meetings, etc.
- Occasional travel required.
Professional and Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals, technical savvy and strong business acumen a must.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills. Ability to translate technical information into value for non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record and ability to manage projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, multi-location environment, while maintaining a team-oriented approach to business.
- Strong research, planning and analysis skills.
- Understanding of general business issues including external factors that impact the business and industry.

Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years product marketing or marketing experience within the insurance or B2B software markets
- Insurance experience a plus
Education Requirements
- BA in Marketing or Business Administration required; MBA desirable.
