This position is at the forefront of an exciting and growing company bringing personalized printed products to the masses in quantities as small as one. The Sr Product Manager is responsible for the overall product strategy, information architecture and interface of a manufacture-on-demand (MOD) technology platform. Key Responsibilities: This position will focus on product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This is a highly visible role that leads the creation and definition of the MOD platform by partnering with an extended team of business owners, designers, engineers, and cross-functional teams. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals. The successful candidate will be a creative, entrepreneurial and self motivated person who has a solid track record of delivering innovative technology products and services in a high growth environment. S/he will be a strong, apolitical leader who can prioritize well and communicate a compelling strategy and plan clearly at all levels inside and outside the organization. This leader will feel equally comfortable discussing how to apply new technologies to solve problems with the engineering team as well as evangelizing the vision and benefits of the product platform to executives, customers and employees. The Sr. Product Manager is expected to: • Maintain the overall product and feature roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience • Establish the product mission, goals, and supporting key business performance indicators • Write product and technical requirements and oversee prototype development to ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams. • Measure and analyze existing platform for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers (both internal and external) • Research and identify new opportunities for RPI to offer a licensable end-to-end make on demand manufacturing platform for printed products • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities Position Requirements: • Demonstrated ability to transform ideas, customer needs and requests into cohesive, detailed business, product and technical interface requirements • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization. • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority • Technical proficiency and ability to discuss technical concepts and tradeoffs with engineering team members • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements and features • Excellent teamwork and negotiation skills • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager • Strong interest and knowledge in personalized product technology, particularly digital photography and self publishing • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent technical experience is required. (MBA a plus) • Demonstrated experience in Agile / scrum development methodologies writing user stories and using prototypes to effectively communicate unambiguous requirements to development teams is highly desired. • Sense of humor and self directed is a must. • MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint)
