***PLEASE NOTE: This position requires a Seasoned Product Manager with Project Management experience. Solid understanding and experience managing Mobile Application Technology product/projects is REQUIRED.
DETAILS: As a Product Manager you will work in an extremely fast-paced environment to help deliver the next evolution of mobile applications/products. You'll need to be focused and creative to find ways to work with application vendors to deliver on project objectives.
This is an opportunity for you to leverage your understanding of mobile application technology to write development requirements for the product release. It's also a chance to show off your project management skills to break out project schedules, timelines and deliverables, communicate with disparate stakeholders (internal and external) and to drive projects to successful completion.
Responsibilities: Responsible for development and implementation of key initiatives as defined by client marketing teams Ownership of the service * managing with the best interests of the business in mind, taking control and leading multiple teams to restore outages & service disruptions (this may include night and weekend work when necessary - rarely) Drive projects through internal gating process for technical and business approvals Daily collaboration with all core team members including marketing, technology, network, IT, engineering and care among others Troubleshooting often complex issues, finding creative and innovative solutions, tracking through to resolution Writing test cases and providing regular direction and feedback to test leads Reporting and defending weekly (and some times daily) status to executive management Writing and presenting product requirements documents, use cases, wire-frames, operational requirements, business cases and product descriptions for new, compelling applications and services Managing the product lifecycle requirements for your assigned products
REQUIRED SKILLS: (The following skills are required and must be reflected in your resume for consideration): 5 to 7 years combined experience in software Product/Project Management is required. Emphasis is more on Product Management. Demonstrated experience managing software development projects (preferably mobile consumer) Must have prior experience managing mobile application technology vendors Experience working for OR with large wireless carriers or 3rd party mobile messaging product/widget providers is a big plus Must have experience managing large projects with an end to end view which is consistently maintained and used as an effective tool for clarifying dependencies and assists with driving the decision making process Must have experience managing hot item issues and confidently developing and delivering solutions to address them Experienced in producing status reports and presentations, including for senior level audiences, which clearly articulate relevant issues and help guide the decision making process Must be able to work effectively with multiple cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external team members to ensure long-term project success Know when to take initiative to help solve a problem and/or to help complete an objective without having to be asked to do so Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills * must be able to manage multiple projects at once Outstanding written and oral communication skills Strong familiarity with Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Visio Experience presenting to senior level executives
