Our team ships Solution Accelerators (>) - we accelerate the adoption of the Microsoft platform by incubating exciting future product scenarios today. Our accelerators result in high customer satisfaction, huge downloads, and big changes in upcoming Microsoft products.

The Solution Accelerators for Security and Compliance is comprised of a small number of FTEs that plan, design, develop, and release our products, while managing a few key vendors to do additional development and test work. This high-scale model means that our FTEs focus on the most important aspects of the engineering lifecycle, work with engineering teams across Microsoft, and ensure top quality work from vendors.

Responsibilities
This position will focus on our Security Compliance Management efforts which help customers quickly configure machines in a secure manner and monitor them for compliance.

As a key developer on the Security team, you’ll be responsible for:
Collaborating with program managers and developers to prioritize features and components and deliver rapid prototypes
Documenting component architecture including functional specifications and integration elements
Creating new features and customize existing components utilizing the following programming languages and development environments: Visual Studio.NET, C#, C++, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSLT, SQL
Identifying DCRs and new product opportunities for our team to drive back into the right product groups
Contribute to the iteration of our engineering excellence development practices

Basic Qualifications
Candidates should have experience solving technical problems around security using Microsoft products and technologies and a deep technical understanding of Windows. You should have at least five years of experience in software development and one to two years experience in system architecture and design. To qualify you should have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

Must have
Experience developing software through at least two product cycles
Proficiency in .NET, C#, C++, XML/XSLT, and Web Services
Knowledge and production experience working with and developing database access to relational databases (MSSQL or Oracle)
Experience developing Windows and ASP.NET applications
Experience using Microsoft the Secure Development Lifecycle and applying threat modeling for software development

The following items are a plus:
Good knowledge of MS Patterns & Practices, MS Application Blocks, and NUnit
Proven experience developing scalable Client-Server applications
Understanding of extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes and tools
Consulting experience, strong public speaking skills and vendor management of developers
Ideal candidates have experience developing Management Packs and/or Configuration Packs for System Center products
