The Mobile Communications Business (MCB) at Microsoft is looking for an outstanding self-starter to lead product management discussions with key mobile operators and device manufacturers. MCB is a dynamic business with global scope and this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of the wireless industry in Microsoft's fastest growing business. In this role you will work with top tier industry partners to drive Microsoft’s mobile communications marketing and product vision in the marketplace.

This is a fun, challenging, and highly visible position within Microsoft that will require significant experience within the mobile industry. You will have the opportunity to work closely with critical partners to the business and will drive short and long term product and marketing discussions. A key deliverable will be working with industry partners to build their portfolio of Windows phones and support the launch of new mobile experiences with orchestrated marketing activities.

Your strategic responsibilities include:

• Build a trusted relationship with industry partners and MSFT account teams
• Lead Smartphone product marketing partnerships with industry leaders
• Understand the changing wireless landscape and help Microsoft move into a position of leadership
• Drive and gain commitment to joint marketing initiatives with key partners
• Use thought leadership to drive successful product launches with our partners

Key deliverables:

• Create and maintain product portfolio plans with key partners and identify targets for Windows phone sales with detailed requirements and engagement plans support by formal account teams
• Drive creation of marketing plans with partners incorporating inputs from key stakeholders around the world for each new experience launch
• Maintain an ongoing cadence with key partners to ensure continued alignment of MCB marketing and partners decision and execution processes
• Evangelize and leverage all MSFT marketing assets and technologies in partner marketing executions
• Establish partner metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and best practices across teams

Qualifications:

This position requires a demonstrated passion for mobility products and technologies. Key business requirements include building partnerships to drive business growth and a strong marketing background. A proven ability to influence all levels within the organization including executive agendas is key along with exceptionally strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, highly energetic, matrixed environment, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on a global scale. Such projects will demand strong working relationships and collaboration with partners, sales teams, executives and other product and marketing groups across Microsoft. Qualified candidates will also have 10+ years of related wireless industry experience in product management, marketing, business development and strategic account management. Direct experience working with Mobile Operators or OEMs and an MBA are ideal.
