Partners have never been more important to Microsoft than they are in the effort to help prove the value and drive customers to adopt the Windows Server, System Center (with Virtualization) and Forefront family of products.

As a Sr. Partner Marketing Manager in the Infrastructure Partner Team you will be responsible for defining our strategies and plans to drive deeper engagement with our depth/managed partner channel.

You will work closely with partner marketing leads in the field, other BGs, and segment teams to drive marketing programs that win the hearts, minds, and commitment of partners to sell our products. You will also work closely with the Solution PAMs and field sales teams to ignite market excitement and generate opportunities for partners. You will create and track success metrics around partner engagement and develop a strategy for efficiently communicating the growth and health of the managed Core Infra partner ecosystem.

The primary areas of focus of this position include but are not limited to:

• Develop a strategy to engage with managed partners (both existing Microsoft partners and partners recruited from competitive partner programs) that drive adoption of Microsoft Core Infrastructure products.
• Build a healthy partner ecosystem by engaging with partners in multiple channels and providing a profitable revenue stream to these partners.
• Develop strategy and drive execution of plan to attain Core Infra competency recruitment targets.
• Develop the Core Infra PSP execution strategy in partnership with WPG and EPG/SMS&P stakeholders including building out Core Infra PSP Activation kit and a strong rollout plan to enroll PSP partners.
• Work with the field to drive PSP partners to deliver proof of concepts, pilot service offerings, case studies and other evidence.
• Drive partner engagement in global FY10 customer campaigns (Optimized Datacenter, Optimized Desktop and Business Ready Security).
• Create a robust infrastructure to generate well-qualified sales leads and push them through our most competent partners.
• Actively participate in Partner Advisory Councils to gain knowledge and understanding of the Core Infrastructure partner ecosystem.

This individual will require the following skills to be successful:

• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to represent Microsoft with strategic partners.
• Analytical skills to identify business trends and understand the impact of competitive issues on partner satisfaction.
• Proven track record of identifying business needs and developing programs to drive purchasing, deployment and adoption of business products.
• Effective influence and leadership of cross-group activities and programs.
• Effective management of multiple projects at the same time, with excellent attention to detail and effective deadline management.
• Ability to identify and work constructively with senior contacts across the organization.
• Regular interface with VP's, Directors and management across the Server & Tools Business Group.
• Strong personal drive, a passion for increasing the value partners derive from selling and servicing our products, and a burning desire to win.

Qualifications should include:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of product marketing or business development experience, preferably in the hi-tech industry.
• Experience with cross group product marketing at Microsoft or another multinational organization.
• Broad understanding of the Channel for Microsoft business products and Microsoft EPG and SMS&P business models, challenges, and objectives.
• Experience working with Enterprise partners.

Some travel will be required - approximately 15% domestic and 5% international.
