Group Product Manager - Marketplace Management
The Advertiser & Publisher Solutions (APS) business unit is helping build the monetization engine for Microsoft’s and third-party publishers’ online services. The adCenter Marketplace, where advertisers manage their search-engine marketing (SEM) campaigns and where relevant ads are matched to search queries, is the core of the monetization platform.

The Monetization team will inform both the day to day business operations and the mid to long range monetization strategy of the platform and deliver operational insight on the adCenter Marketplace. The team works with all groups driving monetization improvements including engineering, customer-service operations, advertising sales, and product management - working across publishers, advertisers and optimizing across the overall network.


Core Duties/Responsibilities
Manage a team of market place product managers and help them succeed
Accountable for marketplace initiatives Develop solutions to resolve the daily analytic needs needed in setting the dials and levers to effectively manage the marketplace
Provide insight and support to the different teams to help improve platform health.
Prototype analytic improvements that help us understand the business and the impact on monetization better
Special projects as needed.

Required Skills
Ability to engage business partners/executives in a professional manner and support your arguments with deep, structured analysis
Ability to provide articulate well thought out analytical recommendations to your engineering partners
Expert project management skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
Ability to respond quickly and work well in a matrixed organization
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 7+ years of product management/strategic consulting experience
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Search advertising experience (adCenter/other) and clear understanding of the economics of search strongly preferred
Undergraduate degree in Engineering/Economics with an MBA preferred
