As part of Crimson’s Products & Markets Services, Consultant needed to work on product management initiatives focused on growing our clients’ product business. Consultant will play a leadership role on the team, which will have participation by business owners, site management, program management and engineering teams.

Project goals include:

  • Defining and delivering the integration of the Marketplace product into their business and deepen their current integration to drive improved business results
  • Increasing the number of leads sent through Marketplace by integrating market activities
  • Engaging with stakeholder groups to define opportunities to support their business needs and defining joint success metrics and communication

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Project leadership – driving a cross group team to closure on: project strategy project definition, success metrics, structure, deliverables, and milestones; including leading meetings, keeping the project moving, and flagging when a decision is required or other risks face the project
  • Project support / project management – generating schedules, meeting notes, follow-ups against action items, etc
  • Deliverables creation – owning responsibility for creating specific deliverables associated with each project
  • Deliverables support – providing support to create deliverable such as working with other members of the project team who may need help

MUST HAVE:

  • Solid Microsoft background including minimum 2 years experience including:
    • As a Microsoft employee and / or contractor (v-dash)
    • Interacting with a range of internal cross-functional Microsoft groups
    • As a product manager or product marketing manager
    • Ability to engage with people at the Senior Product Manager level with occasional group manager and director level interactions
  • Demonstrated marketing strategy experience
  • A good understanding of the roles of key groups within and across the Microsoft organization
  • Demonstrated examples of driving programs from start to completion with detailed examples of taking significant initiative
  • Proven project management and leadership experience including defining joint success metrics and joint commitments to be undertaken by different teams to achieve an opportunity

STRONGLY PREFER:

  • Experience in a software marketing or significant consulting experience with providers of marketing consulting to technology companies (such as RB Webber, McKenna Group, Accenture, McKinsey, IBM Global Services, or similar)
  • Proven experience creating plans that scope & cost a project, and syndicating the plan for project funding

Location: Microsoft Redmond campus (onsite, with some off-site flexibility)
Duration: 3 months to 1 year (full-time)
