Product Manager

Description:
Be part of a fast growing global company that is redefining the way mobile handsets are developed and branded. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for our Mobile Products Group. In this key role the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end to end introduction for releases for the company's software package.

Description:
The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the software through the implementation life cycle. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the mobile phone software environment (preferably Windows CE) and a proven track record of shipping software products that exceed customer requirements. Strong technical, organizational and communication skills, great problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are required.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the development and program management teams to manage the software requirements for the current release throughout the development process, while representing customer/strategic partner requirements. This includes: clarifying marketing requirements, reviewing functional specifications and UI designs, feature trade-off and scope discussions, attending regular triage meetings, etc
- Assist with creation of sales and marketing collateral (data sheets, whitepapers, etc)
- Research and monitor competitor's product offerings, including latest product or customer announcements, new initiatives, developer tools, etc
- Hands-on review of competitor's phones and software development toolsets (SDKs)
- Create and maintain competitive analysis documents and PowerPoint presentations to support the sales, product management and business development teams

Requirement:
- BA, BS in Computer Science or related technical field
- 3+ years experience in a product management role in the wireless industry.
- Familiar with latest mobile phone features and industry standards (OMA, 3GPP, etc.)
- In-touch with technology, product, and market trends in the consumer electronics and wireless industry (hardware and software)
-Ability to quickly ramp up on new mobile phone technologies
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication Skills
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Visio
- Experience with Windows CE tools including Platform Builder and Visual Studio a plus
- Effective customer facing communication skills are a must
- Position may require some U.S. and international travel to wireless industry trade shows and other industry events (Approx 10%)
