We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager for our consumer product line. This key position will own the products’ overall business and marketing strategies. He/She will lead and execute key product marketing functions to support the revenue plan.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, results-driven product marketing manager, where leadership skills and technical depth are critical success factors. At the core of this role is a solid and demonstrated knowledge of the customer, their needs, how they buy and how they use technology. The individual must be someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive deep into the issues to understand key competitive challenges, a proven ability to work across virtual teams and motivate others through influence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the business growth strategy and execution plan.
- Drive product lifecycle and business management including pricing, support, and maintenance
- Manage product launches in close partnership with R&D and other teams
- Own and create product positioning and messaging that is compelling, differentiating and speaks the ’language’ of the target customer.
- Own and manage product-related marketing materials and resources such as product web content, data sheet, white papers, and customer evidence
- Own, update and create competitive analysis resources
- Deliver external communication with press and industry analyst and at events (trade shows, joint sales calls) as the subject matter expert on our consumer products
- Collaborate and provide support with outbound marketing, channel marketing, and other teams to create MarCom and demand generation content and materials
This position requires:
- BS/BA degree, plus MS/MA/MBA preferred;
- Knowledge of mac and windows technology is essential, understanding of virtualization is preferred;
- 5+ years of experience in software product marketing/management;
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Financial analysis and project management skills are a plus
- Ability to multi-task and while maintaining a high attention to accuracy and quality of work
- A passion for outstanding product marketing and drive to win is critical.
