Come be a part of a team that is focused on improving customer experience! The WWLP Licensing Technologies team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced product manager to drive the customer requirements and deliver upon the strategic vision for key programs within the Customer License Position initiative.
The Customer License Position (codenamed CLP) delivers to customers the Microsoft License Statement and makes it easy for customers to understand their current licensing relationship with Microsoft by accurately distilling and connecting all licenses purchased, across programs or agreements into a single, easy-to-read statement. This summary, available via secure controlled access online, also empowers Microsoft partners and employees to deliver superior service on licensing matters.
As a part of the CLP team, you will have the opportunity to apply your creativity and analytical skills to generating innovative solutions to some of Microsoft’s most complex business problems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Drive strategy and requirements for key solution areas within the Customer License Position initiative, including future use scenarios, customer support and new feature enhancements. Own the Business Logic and Requirements for the CLP Calculation Engine which produces the Microsoft License Statement Work with WWLP Stakeholder such as Product Licensing and Programs to ensure their offerings are implemented successfully in the CLP Rules Engine and presented accurately to customers Manage the calculation rules engine and domain data components of the CLP database, including issue identification and resolution, as well as define and implement process improvement for greater accuracy and automation wins. Own the identification and implementation of key support processes, monitoring response time and issues to insure timely resolution and identify key system enhancements. Effectively identify customer requirements utilizing various research methods. Translate customer requirements into clear and actionable requirements documents. Make informed prioritization and trade-off decisions based on customer needs and shareholder value. Effectively lead/manage cross-functional “virtual” teams through the solution development process. Communicate effectively with executive management and key stakeholders (both internal and external) throughout the process. Understand/identify and drive resolution on issues and effectively escalate where appropriate. Navigate through and be productive in an ambiguous, fast changing and complex environment. Establish success metrics and measure/manage to constant improvement.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years experience with product licensing 2+ years product mgmt experience *we can only consider those that meet all of the above requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of IT solution delivery experience 4yr or advanced degree
Successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organization, planning and business skills alongside strategic thinking ability and excellent communications skills. The candidate must have a proven track record for delivering timely, quality and customer focused results. The candidate will need to communicate at many organizational levels, create effective cross-group relationships, and be able to simultaneously balance daily tasks with the long-term strategic “big-picture”.
