Position Summary:
The MBA Product Manager intern will work as a member of the T-Mobile Broadband Product & Services team. People join T-Mobile because they can make things happen here - fast. Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Do investigation & analysis that leads to building of product strategy recommendations for specific target segments based on customer needs, technology evolution, and economic constraints
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis based on primary and secondary market research
- Provide input into creation of marketing plans including target customer, messaging, and promotional plan
- Partner with other departments such as Engineering, Finance and Marketing to understand factors that may influence project scope
- Identify performance metrics for project success
Functional/Technical Skills:
- Must have strong quantitative abilities
- Must have strong communication and presentation skills
- Should be able to work with all levels within the company
- Must be comfortable driving change and taking accountability in a fast-paced environment
Experience and Education/Training:
- Seeking a highly motivated current MBA student (1st year)
- A minimum of 2-3 years of marketing/product management experience
- MBA applicable concentrations: Marketing, Strategy, Entrepreneurship
- Knowledge of wireless industry and competitive landscape
- Experience in and/or knowledge of emerging mobile device categories, mobile broadband, home broadband, laptop/PC industry and mobile internet applications,
- Trained and experienced in marketing and/or the wireless/consumer electronics industry
Additional:
· Timeframe: Summer 2010 (start June 1 or June 14) for 10-14 weeks
