Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) develops strategic go-to-market plans that support company and product line revenue goals. This necessitates defining the potential users and buyers for Attachmate products (segmentation/targeting), what problems they face and how our products solve them (messaging platform), as well as articulating how best to reach them (sales channels, inbound/outbound marketing tactics). This position works closely with Marketing Program Managers and Product Managers to create product positioning, launch new products, and create marketing programs and materials that effectively map to the buying process. The PMM will provide regular communication on campaign activity, sales pipeline, and financial metrics. In addition, the PMM helps ensure that sales personnel are prepared with the necessary tools and information to perform prospecting, qualification, and objection handling. Requires excellent inbound and outbound B2B marketing campaign development and business analysis skills with a proven track record of effectively promoting products to enterprise IT customers.

Required Skills
  • Provides market segmentation analysis that defines target influencers and buyers, horizontal applications, industries, geographic markets, and company size.
  • Develops messaging platforms that outline issues/pains, value proposition, and unique differentiators.
  • Owns go-to-market plans that cover sales channels, pricing and licensing models, inbound/outbound marketing campaigns and awareness tactics, and sales readiness requirements.
  • Executes B2B lead generation programs that include customer profiling, lead nurturing, activity tracking, lead scoring, web analytics, social media, search-engine marketing (SEM), and search-engine optimization (SEO).
  • Creates relevant content used in marketing collateral such as web site, product data sheets, white papers, web casts, demos, and customers stories.
  • Deliver sales tools such as targeting and qualification guides, PowerPoint presentations, competitive positioning, objection handling, and ROI calculations.
  • Interface with key industry press and analysts.
  • Supports trade shows, performs sales training on new product releases and conducts customer level presentations.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers in the creation and specification of market requirements for current and future products.
Required Experience
  • 4+ years experience in enterprise software product marketing and knowledge of enterprise marketing and sales process.
  • Technical literacy in IT systems and security solutions.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and public speaking experience.
