POSITION SUMMARY

The individual in this role will identify, analyze, define and work with engineering to identify new features, functionality, modules and products. Such information will be gathered through interaction with clients, in particular, and the market in general. This position will manage the complete software product life cycle using client and industry knowledge to identify developing market themes, prioritize functional requirements and manage the specifications within given release time frames.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Define product road map to meet customer business requirements.
* Define customer needs and translate into well-documented, prioritized product requirements.
* Enhance existing products and provide guidance to Engineering based on marketplace requirements in developing new products.
* Generate high-level business cases based on market sizing, projected revenue and anticipated expenses.
* Create detailed product specifications and competitive differentiation.
* Deliver product and market specifications, Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and other documentation to guide and prioritize the efforts of the engineering team.
* Work closely with Product Marketing to define product messaging and identify critical elements for successful product launch.
* Work with the Marketing, Engineering, Business Development, Sales and delivery teams to introduce and manage the product line, features and enhancements from inception to end of life.
* Regularly meet with account management, sales and customers to validate and communicate planned product enhancements.
* Respond to risks as necessary and communicate decisions to the organization.

REQUIRED SKILL SET

* BS required; technical background with MBA a plus.
* 3-5 years experience in software product management, preferably with an enterprise software company.
* Deep understanding of healthcare market or related market segment (healthcare related middleware or mission critical enterprise software).
* Must be both strategic as well as tactical. Must be willing to have a hands-on approach, with attention to detail and follow-through.
* Must be customer focused
* Must have deep knowledge of product planning with outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
* Must be able to support multiple projects with competing priorities
* Must be able to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines.
* Ability to work in a team environment as well as with a high degree of autonomy.
* Strong desire to work in a dynamic, high-growth environment
* Must thrive in an entrepreneurial and results oriented environment.
* Must possess highly developed written and oral communication skills
* Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of organization, both technical and non-technical as well as an dynamic speaker.
