PRODUCT MANAGER, Hero Handsets

Our Product Development Team is looking for a PRODUCT MANAGER, Hero Handsets.

The overall market for mobile handsets is expected to experience rapid growth over the next several years as consumers continue to use mobile devices for an increasing portion of their communication needs.  Much of this growth will be driven by the ongoing introduction of outstanding devices that allow for a deeper, richer mobile experience on an ever-broadening set of platforms and services.  These devices expand customers’ imaginations through outstanding experiences, and receive the highest levels of organizational support, including product development resources, marketing campaigns, sales priority and partner focus.  At T-Mobile, we call these devices our Hero Handsets.

As PRODUCT MANAGER, Hero Devices, you will be a member of a high performing team built to source and deliver an outstanding handset roadmap.  Within this team, you will have product management ownership over a select set of handsets; first working closely with internal partners to assemble and communicate business needs, then with OEM and platform partners in the realization of those needs, and finally with a diverse set of both internal and external stakeholders to bring your handsets to market.

A deep passion for customer-driven innovation is a necessity for the role, as you will be a relentless advocate for the creation of innovative user experiences that delight consumers.  You will work closely with other product development leads to direct and manage our hardware and software partners, design team and targeted partners.  You will also partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders including marketing, business development, content services, customer care, sales and business operations.

The successful candidate is a driven PRODUCT MANAGER with a relentless advocacy for the customer. S/he will have a passion for and experience with new consumer-focused product development, enjoy big challenges and can effectively communicate a vision for a revolutionary new mobile experience.  S/he should also be a proven team-player who will be able to build and sustain support for this initiative across a number of different groups within T-Mobile.
