AT&T is looking for a strong marketing professional to join the Industry Solutions Marketing and Product Management team and lead marketing strategy and execution for mobile fleet management applications and solutions for transportation and logistics industry. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who has led product management teams, managed a product line and developed marketing strategies. This position requires strategic planning, product design, product management, and marketing program development skills. Business acumen, technical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to partner effectively, and a passion to win are key traits for this role. This role has high visibility among company leadership and partner community. The ability to see the "big picture", while managing multiple projects under tight timelines, is critical. You will be able to utilize the leadership and motivational skills you've honed over the years to evangelize the importance of your objectives, and keep team members and partners excited and on track.

 

Be the resident expert in the industry-specific wireless solutions targeted at the Fleet Management and Transportation market segment, identifying key business processes that benefit from wireless enablement, business drivers, roles/responsibilities of decision makers and influencers, common issues and obstacles, regulatory requirements and other distinctive industry attributes.

 

Maintain industry expertise through relevant primary and secondary research, participation at industry events and customer meetings.

 

Identify and establish alliances with key field service ecosystem partners. Provide recommendations on the AT&T partnership program placement - ranging from the broad certification programs to resale partnerships. Develop offers, marketing programs and sales training with these industry partners.

 

Manage direct offers through the product realization process, including marketing opportunity definition, analysis of customer needs, AT&T offer/pricing/positioning, competitive offer evaluation, AT&T capabilities, financial analysis, and sales forecast.

 

Manage the launch and ongoing marketing (product, positioning, pricing, placement and promotion) of the offer throughout its life cycle.

 

Develop and maintain industry segment collateral (white papers, solution flyers, web pages, presentations, customer case studies, ROI models, etc).

 

Identify key industry events / forums for AT&T participation to educate and promote how wireless enablement of key business processes creates value for companies in these industries. Work with event management team to coordinate participation and execution of the event.

 

Drive and deliver demand generation activities that lead to a sales pipeline of industry influenced opportunities for B2B and other applicable sales channels.

 

Develop press and analyst strategy for the industry to increase awareness and further AT&T's thought leadership position within this influential community.

 

Work with appropriate departments to ensure all applicable sales channels are trained on the industry segments and offers.

 

Manage all marketing programs within budget targets, ensure the maximum return on marketing investments and report on program performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree, Masters Degree preferred.

 

Solid understanding of the Transportation industry and Fleet Management through direct work experience or marketing roles targeting these verticals.

 

Must have hands on experience with Carrier based Location-based Services, GPS and telemetry.

 

Five or more years in a professional level marketing position, or equivalent. Experience in marketing to enterprise customers and working with a direct sales force to execute the marketing plan.

 

Proven ability to drive cross-group collaborative efforts on multiple projects, developing scalable and effective marketing plans, executing tactics and driving key issues to closure.

 

Strong market strategy and marketing skills. Ability to synthesize diverse information in order to develop vision and strategy for commanding a market segment.

 

Ability to research, prioritize, and clearly articulate market and customer requirements. Demonstrated orientation towards measuring results and assuming accountability for the market impact of product actions.

 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills.

 

Self-motivated; ability to take ownership for assigned projects; ability to work independently and with a team.

 

Desired Qualifications:
  • Six or more years experience in product lifecycle management
  • Experience in wireless services, data, and / or high tech industry--messaging experience
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise contingencies to manage them
